Upgrade to LED lights?

The taillights, turn signals, brake lights are not very bright. Could be partially because of the age of the lenses. Has anyone upgraded to LED lights? I see there are many out there. Is it as simple as, for example, changing the old 1157 to the new one? Headlights are original-style as well and weak on brightness. Any help is appreciated.

No, sometimes it is not that easy and requires the usage of a load resistor to get the flasher to work.
How old are the bulbs?
Have you checked alternator voltage?

I tried but the turn signals flashed to fast and the dash indicators illuminated sometimes, I just left the leds in the reverse lamps those were no issues, I did get the load resistors I will give it another try soon.

I ran LED in the headlights with new housings.

If your car has a plug in flasher relay, you can change it out with an electronic flasher relay for LEDs and it will stop the hyper flash without having to use the resistors.

get the LED headlights Amazon has some nice ones $90 that are plug and play. you will have to run a wire to get the angel eyes running lights working and also to tie them to the turn signals so the angel eyes flash yellow.
