1994 headlight door continued to click when open

Have a 94 Pontiac firebird and when you turn on or off the headlight on drivers side does go up and down but continue to click for the motor continues to click then stops after 30 second. Happens only on the drivers side
 
They have plastic gears that strip. The aftermarket has come up with a metal gear as a replacement.

The gears ar not stripped, new motors. TRurn on headlight and doors go up, turn them off they go downand then the passengers side goes back up have change motors and Headlight Control Module. Still does it. What is wrong?
 
So 8 months ago you had a problem with the drivers side.
Your current post means you didnt check the gears and just replaced both motors and now you have a problem with the passenger side?
Did you try swapping in the old passenger side motor?

Had changed the drivers side months ago and worked fine, car sits most of the time in the garage. Before the door would go down but would click for a minute then stop the new problem is different that the door goes down when thurn off headlight but goes back up even with the headlight switcth off.

The motors have been looked at, today and when I got them ,no teeth are missing on any gear and the motor does run, both' look good and checked for any hanging up, So now tell me why you say there is something wrong with the motors. The passenger side does go down when turn off the lights but the passenger side comes back up.

Trying to rule out all possibilities, new anything can fail.
Do you have the 94 shop manual?
 
Wires fine, Did or does anybody else heave a problem with the headlight doors on a 94 firebird. started off with the drivers side not going down. That was some time ago. replaced motor and does now work. I don't think it was the motor but something else. The car sits a lot in the garage. Car runs fine but now have a problem with the passengers side headlight door. When I Turn headlights on the doors go up. Then turn the headlights off they both go down then the passengers side goes back up. Changed motors and checked the gears are fine. replaced the headlight control module for the doors still same problem. Would like to get it so it works right. Anybody have any other ideas about fixing it?
