I'm considering buying this 69 Le Mans, Can anyone help decode this VIN: 237379P359785
I have these numbers off of the engine 29P359785. These numbers appear to match. Can anyone tell me what engine code this is?
thanks for any help,
Thanks, Trey

That is not the engine code.
Look at the passenger side of the block below the cylinder head.
There will be a two character letter code.

I agree we would need the 2 letter engine code off the passenger side of the block, and the 2 digit head code would help also, tat can be found above the center 2 exhaust ports.

It looks to be a 2 door Hard top Lemans, Built in Pontiac MI. But the last 6 digits of the VIN should start with a 1 (for a 8 cylinder car) or a 6 (for a 6 cylinder car). The 3 you listed does not make sense to me. If it is an 8 cylinder car it will only have been built with a 350 CI engine, if it is a 6 cylinder car it would have a 250 OHC-6. There were several versions of each engine.
