Gxp torrent strut shock

Our 2008 Pontiac Torrent GXP that we purchased new is now going to become my backup car instead of my 02 Sierra Sport truck. We have taken very good care of it and have right at 200,000 miles

Worst things that we've got going as a little bit of rust, some corrosion on the polished Wheels, and struts that needed to be replaced 80,000 miles ago

I'm back looking at replacing the suspension. And I cannot find any struts that work with the fe3 suspension that this vehicle has. They all say without sport suspension. I will not do a quick strut.

What is someone to do with a GXP that needs shocks and struts all the way around? GM doesn't make them anymore, all the aftermarket Brands exclude them.
 
There is no solution, you either try what's available for non FE3 , do nothing, or sell the vehicle.

Getting rid of the vehicle is not an option. Has anyone had success using non sport struts with Springs from sport
 
Find used struts with fewer miles.

I see lots of them. What are you inputting, 2008 Torrent, shock absorber(strut)

ACDELCO 506701 list as a left strut for the FE3 suspension. Gabriel G57322 complete assembly says for models with 19" rims. Could have been a typo and they may have meant 18" wheels. Maybe just shoot them an email and ask?
 
Got a set of newish struts this weekend. Still have warning sticker on top nuts. $21 for pair. Saw an 08 equinox sport with original struts. Not new

I have the same problem as you. But there might be a solution.. I ordered both front struts from summit racing (ac delco). I have received the driver side and it is the correct one. I’m still waiting on the passenger side. It is expected to ship Jan 9.
These are the summit racing part#
ADO-506-701. Drivers side
ADO-560-288. Pass side
I’m hoping the pass side is correct so I can get this damn thing fixed.
Also tried to replace both lower control arms. But apparently they are special ones also. The one they say will fit will NOT(Moog brand). So I ended up just getting new bushings and ball joints from local parts store.
Also the struts are NOT quick struts. You will have to have the springs transferred to the new ones. Local shop doing it for me for $50. I also bought new strut bearings. Part number -sxr-803-078
Hope this helps someone out. I will keep you updated if or when I get the passenger side.🤞
 
So did you ever get the front struts and suspension done on the Torrent GXP with the Summit Racing parts?

Those part numbers are AC-DELCO, 506-701 and 560-288
