Hello all, new to site. Just got a 2007 grand prix with about 135k miles. 3800 natural. Have a code for cooling fan 2, P0481. Car sat before I bought, changed everything but harness as general maintenance. I have not been able to pinpoint cause of code. fans work if use my scanner commands, also work if I clear code and drive all day. I don't know where to go next, with exception of swapping harness itself. Anyone have same issue, any input? Thanks in advance

Sorry for text font size change. Not sure how I did that. Just wanted to add what I've changed. I put new fans in, I changed both battery cables, I changed my pcm because I cracked mine, unrelated issue. I changed the temp sensor and pigtail. I changed the relays. All new except pcm, which was reman. Like stated, all works as should after code clear, doesn't get hotter than like 220f or so, normal operating temp. 2nd start I get the code and fans don't work at all.

P0481 Cooling Fan Relay 2 Control Circuit DTC

Swapped all relays, were like $2 on rockauto for delcos. Checked grounds books said was for fans, and others, all good. Didn't find anything wrong with connectors when I changed parts I changed. All pins on plugs and relays shown proper voltage. Probably gonna have to rip harness out and go thru. Guess was hoping there was a common problem someone could point to.
