Replaced previous distributor w MSD Ready to Run (8360). Engine is nearly new 383 Stroker but gauges in the car are original. Tachometer worked fine before the new distributor. Mechanic that installed the new equipment said that I should be able to find an interface part that would help those two devices communicate/work together. All connections are secure and mechanic did check with an external tach to make sure that his still worked when we found that the car's had stopped. I'm hoping that someone on this forum could steer me in the right direction... Thanks in advance!

Did you or the mechanic read in the instructions to use the grey wire to connect to the original harness?
Did you contact MSD?
You may need the 8920 tach adapter.

I guess I don't remember if he used the grey wire or not but I am sure he was using the instructions when doing the install. I did write MSD this afternoon but expect it could be a couple days to hear back. I think that adapter that you mentioned may be exactly what I need! Thanks!
