Just got a new to me 1999 Grand Prix SE

I should have started with this post

I just came into possession of a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix SE

A 23 year old Ohio car that has always been garaged and only has 48k miles.

I'm in awe as to it's amazing condition. Accept for one thing. Well, two things. Both rocker panels are in quite the state.
The rest of the car is mint, but these rockers are a tragedy. Not sure how everything but the rockers survived in mint condition.

I'll be doing a full fluid and filter change. Oil, coolant, and trans. New battery too.

Congrats on your find! I love finding old items in like new condition, it's like a time machine.

If it's just the rocker panels get them replaced ASAP before it spreads. Have you inspected the entire under carriage?

The car will probably remain garaged until spring and then takin in for repairs.
I'm afraid with the rising costs of everything in sight, the repairs may exceed the value of the car. But I'm committed to preserving it, so I may have to just take the hit.
With a quick and less through inspection, the under carriage seems to be in tip top shape.
