is a 2.2L? I want to do an engine swap on a 1999 pontiac sunfire original engine is a 2.2L can i put a 2.4L in it?
its a pontiac motor ... just a gt version and any one know where to find a good 2000 vw passat motor

So then I don't see how there would be a problem with putting a 2.4 in any of the Pontiac Sunfire models. They all pretty much look the same.

provided thta the engine mounts and gearbox fits it should be ok.

you may have to get an engineers certificate in somes states.

Depending on the options your car has you may be able to swap it in but I would plan on changing the ECU and possibly the trans, I would just put another 2.2 in it ..
