I recently picked up a 1975 Grand LeMans as a project. It last ran in 2012 or so and sat in a warehouse until 2021 and has been passed around until it got to me.
It was mostly stripped and taken apart to be restored, but nothing was ever really done. I want to get it back on the road. This is the oldest car I've ever messed with. It's a 350 car.
I swapped the fuel line at the tank and connected a boat tank, disconnected the fuel line towards the carb to catch any old gas in the line. Threw a battery in it and got nothing.
I found the second smaller cable coming from the positive terminal of the battery lead to nothing, I assume it's supposed to connect to some sort of block with the rest of the harness.
I connected the wire from the battery to another matching connector in the harness and got some lights, and had the engine turn over some but never got any gas. After this, the starter never did anything.
So, I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what the cables by the battery are supposed to be connected to. And potentially a wiring diagram.
I also guess the starter is going out, it looks like a pain to replace.
Any input would be greatly appreciated, thank you guys.
