67 lemans dash light issue

I'm having issues with my 67 lemans dash lights. They come and go, I've changed the light switch now dash lights only come on when door is open. Would appreciate any help

Yes I do, the dash lights only work with it on full

You installed a new switch with identical connectors to the original?

I believe 1 of the numbers were different I would have to look at it again
I ordered Part to fit my car and wondered about 1 number being different

What about the physical part? Anything different?
Where did you buy it?
Was it new?

Identical part in every way other than a letter if I remember upper right
I had said number in fact its a letter

I just looked at packag it came in it states 67 firebird

Check that none of the prongs bent and also that they are identical to original. Should be M152D

Do you mean if your in the car with headlamps on no dash lights light but if you open the door with the lights still on then the dash lights come on?
Before you changed the switch the dash lights would go on and off ?
If this is the case I would say a bad ground wire/ connection for the dash lamps.

I can't find a bad ground, I ordered another switch from ames no change

Do you have a wiring diagram and voltmeter?
