Wiper issue

04 GT has had wiper issues since it was parked for the winter years ago.

When I go to use the wipers on low they are finicky (they are fine on other settings but depending on how the rain is I mainly use the lowest setting as the others are too fast), they get stuck a lot at all different positions and I have to hit the multi switch quite a few times to get them to return to the bottom of the windshield OR turn off the car.
Sometimes when I start the car and the wiper switch is off they will just turn on.

Replaced the Multi TWICE, BCM and wiper motor and something else cant remember what...Was told basically everything electrical has been replaced.
Took it to a couple mechanics and no one can figure out what's going on, they just say maybe a wiring issues and to get chasing.
Tried to look online to see where the wires run to check to see if maybe there's damage and cant find anything.

Anyone else have this issue? At my end with trying to figure it out and wasting money.

Yes, he seen the issue as it happens a lot

Is the mechanic ASE certified?

I am not sure what ASE is, but it was at his licensed company

Maybe try a different shop. ASE, Automotive Service Excellence, are mechanics who have taken courses in various areas of repair and have passed a test.

I've had a few different places look at it and no one can figure it out, I have my main guy I go to that is fantastic with everything he does, there hasn't been much this man can figure out. Only thing I can think of is maybe when I had some rodents living in there years ago maybe they screwed with the wiring??? Tried to find into on where the wiring runs online and bought the Pontiac Grand Am 1999-2005 Full Service & Repair Manual from emanual online but it didn't look like it had any wiring diagrams for how they run from the interior to engine bay
