Hello! As the title states my Grand Prix has no heat, and we're thinking it's the heater core being somewhat clogged, and I thought I'd share it here to confirm.

I replaced the thermostat and coolant, confirmed the pump was working, and both blend doors are functional.
I did try cleaning out the heater core but was more than likely unsuccessful. The cooling part of my HVAC works completely fine however.

Did you follow the heater hoses from the engine to the heater core to see if there is a heater control valve?

Im assuming this is the valve?
The silver piping is your AC system. The two rubber hoses are the heat. Looking at NAPA and Rockauto I see no valve listed. Therefore the heater core as you suggested might be blocked.

Thank you, will get it ordered and replaced.

One hose is blisteringly hot, the other is lukewarm at best.
And one last time, you followed the two rubber hoses back to their engine connections and found no inline valve?

Yeah from the water pump to the start of the heater core I'm not seeing any valve or such connected to the hoses.
