I am a guy and 16 found a running 69' firebird good shape and i can afford it. Its a convertible would that'd be cool or not for a guy? Cars Black with white top and white Interior.

Man. A firebird is cool. At least that is what I think. firebirds are fast too. A firebird is a muscle car ain't it?

Is it cool???? DUH!!:D:D

Only about 100 time better than a ricer with a 5" fart can muffler out the back.

At least that's my opinion.;)

I have an original numbers matching 1969 Firebird

convertible and really enjoy it. This has also become one of the more rare and sought after Firebirds as they only did this body style for one year. Also, there were only eight (8) factory 1969 Firebird Trans Am convertibles built. I have been told that only three of those eight have survived. My car is in the middle of a complete restoration and hopefully will be picture wothy by Thanksgiving. If so, I will post a picture.
When you look at the car check VERY close and carefully for any signs of rust or accident damage. I got lucky because mine was a garaged southern car.
If you decide you do not want the car I would be willing to pay a finders fee if I ended up being the purchaser, due to your help.
Let us know what happens and good luck!

Actually they had the same body style from 67-69, granted the sides of the fenders and quarters were a bit different in 69 than 67-68 but the 67-69 are considered the first generation Firebirds.

I understand they are considered the first generation,

however, the 69 is the only year of the first generation that has body panels and parts that were made on completely different tooling. Thus, a different body style. Maybe only slightly, but definately different. The front bumper is also different than the 67-68. Personally, I like them all. I have my eye on a 71 as well as a 97 ws6. First, I have to build another garage. As weird as it may sound, my wife is fine with all of the cars but she doesn't want any more buildings on our property. Go figure?
