i have looked all over for a cold air intake system for my 1985 Pontiac Fiero 4 cyl. I see them all over the place for the 6 cylinder but not for a 4 cylinder

Ebay should have one from aftermarket companies. They are the same as K and N, but come without covers and such. You'll save a cool $100.

People who buy "cold air intakes" for Fiero's are not thinking correctly.
The Fiero came from the factory with a cold air intake. Both 4-cyl and 6-cyl have the intake hose going to the air filter box which gets it's air from the side vent outside the car. You can buy an K&N air filter element for it and the Fiero Store sells a small bolt-on scoop which helps at highway speeds. But buying one of those expensive kits is a waste of money.

You can buy polished metal tubing to replace the rubber duct work, But it will not gain you anything but appearence.

If you put a big cone filter on it in place of the air filter box under the driver side grate, You have a hot air intake. The grates allow the heat of the engine compartment to escape. Why stick a big filter in the flow of the heat???

or you can just head on over to westcoastfiero.com

i just ordered an intake for my 87 V6... its actually pretty neat it sits right behind that little scoop the previous user was talking about and catches all the clean cool air..

but IMHO i dont really see the point in putting a cold air intake system in a 4 cylinder.

drop it out and dump a real engine in that bad boy..:D

fierostore.com (new parts including original OEM)
fierofactory.com (used parts)
kickhill.com/fiero.html (used parts)
rodneydickman.com (new parts)

The best place to get replacement parts for these cars I found to be www.fierostore.com they have all replacement and performance... maybe you can find a nice cold air intake there.
