I questioned my dealership about it and was told thats just how it was designed. Just called another Pontiac dealership and they say it should come on with the remote start...taking it in for service this week to have it checked out.
actually I did a remote start on my wife's 07 Torrent the other cold day. The heat had been left on when she was in it last but it wasn't running at the same blower speed after I remote started the vehicle. I put the key in and then the blower ran at the speed it was set to. It was running though. I feel sure it would not run at all after remote start if the heat settings had not been left on from when we were in it last. My 2006 Cadillac DTS won't even run the heat with remote start if I turn off the climate control (auto heat and cool) when I get out, although it is not normal to turn this feature off. Nevertheless, if the heat or cool is not turned to "on" already before you remote start, I wouldn't think that remote start would make it come on in the Pontiac. make sense?
