Important advice on what kind of exaust i should put on my pontiac g8?

I love my car more than anything. Its clean and fast but way to quit. Im looking for an exaust system that will sound deep and throaty but not too loud. I get a headache looking at all the different exaust so if someone has any kind of advice i would appreciate it. btw i have a daughter so something that sounds nice on the outside but not as loud on the inside (drone)

Your best bet to ask over there. We havent done a full exhaust on one of these at the shop yet so I don't have any first hand knowledge.

flowmaster is the way to go, best performance and diffenernt tones, go with a 70 series flowmaster and 2- 1/2 or what ever you have already

you guys trying to seriously help or not? Straight pipes are too loud (they said they didnt want it too loud) and Flowmasters will give you drone at highway speeds... the Corsa exhaust is perfect due to it being the only exhaust that guarantees no drone when the DOD kicks on..... all others you will hear a drone sound and it will upset you unless you listen to the radio really loud... go with corsa!!!

first things first, the answer to whether we are helping or not is yes and no. The straight pipe it joke was just that, a joke, so pull your panties out of a bunch. secondly, Flowmaster has several exhausts that work for this vehicle and many without a drone, thirdly Corsa is nice system and don't get me wrong about this but, anyone can put a gurantee on the box and take it back when they tell the client "sorry you installed it wrong" so get off the gurantee bus that your trying to drive. and finally, some people in this world enjoy a drone sound when driving their car. one because if you listen to it carefully you can pick up on slight nuances with your car that you would not pick up on if you had a silencing exhaust. And another reason is that some people enjoy that sound.

Please show me which flowmaster system does not have drone.... Just for your information, I had a flowmaster on my G8 GT and it had terrible drone. I worked with Flowmaster and they said they couldnt help me.... I went with Corsa then and it worked great. I like flowmaster alot, but the DOD caused terrible drone.... Also,,,, there are many people that need technical help with stuff and the comment about the straight pipes--- someone could have taken literally..... dont always assume people are as smart as you are.

LOL! I do have to appreciate the sarcasm. And yes I can agree that many people in this world would take that literally and actually go out and straight pipe it. But I also would hope that no one would read one bad joke on the internet and go out and buy one without even consulting a local shop. But, it could happen. I've heard of nuttier shit happening. The reason why I say there is a flowmaster that has almost no drone in the node, is that again, ben had his hooked up with a flowmaster and the car was quiet unless you were putting your foot in it, then it ripped so loud you couldn't hear yourself think.
 
With the Flowmasters, I found the drone only to occur when the Displacement on Demand kicked in.. it seems to react differently at those times when the DOD is on versus when it is running all 8 cylinders. I personally dont understand it, but the freq seemed to bother my ears. I have the corsa now and it seems to be a good fit. I am sure there are mfg differences that lend to one system of the same brand to have different reaction to the DOD but so far what I hear via all the G8 forums is that the Corsa is the only known fully "drone" free system. I have recently removed the DOD so now it wouldnt matter anyway for me but I removed it much after I got the Corsa installed. I really like the DOD removed...
