long its expected to last? I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand am SE and it has 226 000 km on it and I love the car but I am just wondering about how long I should expect it to last. Of course I know it depends on how you treat the car and all but I am just wondering an approximate. If you could answer it would be greatly appreciated!

impossible to predict. cars dont hit a certain mileage and fall apart, it's a gradual process where you have to decide if the cost of repair is justified considering the age and mileage or whether the repair cost would be better used to purchase another car.

Pretty much, any car will keep going if you pump money into maintenance and/or repairs. But when a car becomes a money pit, and breaks down often, then it's time to let it go.

But take care of your car, and it takes care of you. I've always seen car care as a Karma like thing, and it's been working for me.
