Just purchase a 87 Fiero. Car had been sitting for approx 2 mo. Started just fine. Went to put gas in car and about 2 miles after getting gas the engine just died. Would not restart. Replaced fuel filter. Thinking that putting gas in brought junk up from the gas tank and clogged the filter. Have replaced the coil also. Any ideas?

Which engine? The 4-cyl or the V-6?
There could be a few things for each.

Get a Factory Service Manual and follow the troubleshooting steps in it. I had the same experience with a Fiero that had been stored for years (mine ran for a few days after driving it home). The engine would start and run if I poured gas down the throttle body - but would quit when it was gone. The fuel pump ran and delivered gas (but with insufficient pressure, as I later found out). I pulled the fuel tank and found it clean as a whistle. The problem turned out to be a crack in the short piece of rubber hose between the pump and the outlet line. It was letting fuel escape (inside the tank), dropping the pressure to a level insufficient for the injector. The first thing you should do is get a fuel pressure tester and see what you've got. Should be about 9 PSI if I recall.
Make sure you get a tester with the adapter that fits a Fiero. Good Luck.
