oil dripping on exhaust manifold. removed coil pack cover and noticed oil seeping (not much) from the valve cover. tried to torque the head bolts and found out that a couple of bolts had been stripped. this happened prior to me buying the car. on this 2.3 eng. there is a lot to do in order to install heli coils. would it work if i ran a bead of JB weld or gasket sealer around the entire area where the valve cover gasket is. any suggestions besides tearing the motor apart will be appreciated. thanks

decided to go with j.b. weld. oil leak stopped. if the head gasket goes, well its off to be parted out/junk yard.

Is the stripped bolt for the head or valve cover?

on the 2.3 eng the bolts go thru the head as well.
