Gages and engine swap

hey guys new to this forum hoping someone can help me out. My gas gauge works when its full and works until about the 1/8th mark on the gauge then it ether dipps straight to empty and the check gauges light on the dash comes on, then when i stop and hit the breaks it goes back to the 1/8 mark and repeats till it gets to the yellow warning aria then just stays at empty and the check gauges light stays on till i refill. what could that be? its a 1999.

My second question is how dose a 2.4 fit in to the car? i have toe 2.2 and its roomie in there how much room dose a 2.4 take up? doign a swap.

The fuel gauge problem could be a bad gas tank sender. Not sure about your second question, the 2.4 came in some 1999 sunfires so what do you mean by how much room does it take up?

I have a 2.2 in mine and there is a lot of extra room in the engine bay, so i was wondering how much more the 2.4 took up? thinking of going turbo.
