Which Oil is good to run ?

Hey everyone. This is my first car and i really like how it runs. When i first got it i had to replace the gaskets, radiator, spark plugs w/new wires..little basic things. But being my first car i want to take care of it. Im thinking about switching to royal purple oil. How can this work for my car. its 2002 it has 184k miles (the seller travel alot with it)

It's a good brand but compare prices to other synthetics from Castrol and Valvoline to name a few.

As far being a good brand. Will it make a big difference ?
Question is. Is it worth it to buy it ?
