I want to jack up my 2006 Torrent AWD to do a front brake job at my house. I will use a 3 Ton service jack and jack stands. Having trouble finding good info on safe lift point (not the side body jack points in the owner's manual as I'm using a floor service jack) and a place to safely place my jack stands... Any advice is appreciated before I waste an hour on this silly stuff. Thanks!

Why wouldnt you use the same points? They make adaptors for floor jacks to grab the seam just like the car jack. You could also use two pieces of hard wood to slip the seam between them and the wood then presses against the floor pan. This is an exaple of an adaptor.

Because I don't have these adaptors and I'd like to do this work this weekend. There should be a reasonable frame location to jack and use stands on... no??

I used a piece if wood 6" long and cut a groove in it with a circular saw about an 1" deep. Works without a scratch
