radio theftlock

hi there,

my name is Roy, im new to this forum but not to my Aztek! it's a 2002 model and has all the typical problems, but i love it!

however, stupid me left my headlights on the other day when it was raining outside. i had turned them on manually because it was raining. when i got back in my tek the battery was completely dead. i jumped it off to get me home and my security light came on. i had to shut it off again. jumped it off once more and this time no security light. (when the security light was on the headlights wouldn't work). anyhow, my stereo wen't into theftlock mode and being the second owner of this tek i don't have the original key card thing that has the radio unlock code in it. i called my local gm pontiac dealers and no one has the unlock code, and the 3 local dealers won't even check it out for me. they say the unlock code is available online.

i've been searching the past several days and i cannot find any info on how to unlock the stereo. if anyone knows gm's reset code or anyone else who ones an 01-02 Aztek that has the unlock code please share (a gm tech said the codes are the same between 01-02 and 03-05 but i do not know this for sure.

hopefully someone can help me out with this silly issue. thanks in advance guys!
