i think pontiac should come back, pontiac was more better then chevy and all other gm brands

but i not only want to see pontiac come back i want to pontiac take on producing cars in the older but newely design body form

kind of like what dodge did to the 2012 dodge challenger vs the 1965 challenger

there is many rumors of it coming back in a old saturn plant that shut down in illinois

I don't know about those rumors but I'd love to see Pontiac come back as well. Maybe if we're lucky we'll see a "Pontiac" version of some Chevy vehicles. I think that's the best we can hope for, however. At least for now...

Yeah, kinda like what you have posted in the news section. I love the look, but it's quite pricey. What would really knock my socks off would be a modernized version of the '67 GTO!

maybe if we can get a vote website like bringbackpontiac.com make up that site and have thousands and millions of people vote to bring back pontiac and then show it to GM maybe they will listen

Well, do we really need TWO sites like that? I encourage everyone to go to bringbackpontiac.com and join the petition; that's just like a vote. The more who sign, the better the chances GM will listen.

Could you expand upon those rumors? I haven't heard them, but I sure hope they're true!

i did some reading up on pontiac heres a couple notes i found interesting:

  1. Pontiac was the longest running "company" GM had, Pontiac was actually older than GM
  2. Pontiac had a chance to be bought out by a man who had the money/investors to do so, but since GM already made up there mind to scrap it, they didnt wanna sell

Pontiac was a very popular brand, just about every car you seen had the arrowhead on it

@klokworx: That's not all. Pontiac was #3 at GM, was possibly the most popular American car brand in Canada, and has a large fanbase. Google "Bring Back Pontiac", and see all the sites/threads you get. GM needs to stop thumbing its nose at Pontiac's large, loyal fanbase, and REVIVE Pontiac.

I personally wish they'd come back and start making performance part(s). It's so hard to make a 2.2l ecotec a ricer/tuner, because parts are very scarce when it comes to performance. However, if we look at a Honda Civic Hatch, they are a dime a dozen turbo charged/modified for racing.

To avoid getting off topic, my point is Pontiac is and was one of the most reliable companies in the world of automotive manufacturing. There are only 2 types of car(s) I'll ever own, that's Pontiac or Honda because both companies cars will rot into the ground before they quit running. So I really hope that they are going to start manufacturing again. With making decisions such as scrapping Pontiac, there's no wonder why GM needed a government bail out ;)
