hello guys, im new and my names Ben.
i currently own a 300zx and the gas mileage on it is pissing me off.. so im planning on selling it and getting a gran am or a grand prix.
which would you guys say is the better choice?
also i really hate the front headlights..
is there a way i could do a conversion to the front to make it look more updated and my style?
thnx XD

Well, they are both good cars, but if fuel economy is one thing you're looking for, a Grand Am would be a better buy for you than the Grand Prix. Grand Am's were available with either a 4 or 6 cylinder engine and the GA is a smaller, lighter car. All the GP's I've ever seen had a 6 cylinder engine (3.1, 3.4 & 3.8 liter for the later models) The GP is a little bigger, and has a few nice features that aren't available on the GA. I've also heard that they are easier to mod for performance, at least with the 3800 engine. The biggest drawback to either of these cars were the poor gaskets on the lower/upper intake manifolds, but most of the GA's still on the road have probably had original ones replaced with the improved all metal gaskets by now. As far as the headlights go, there are plenty of aftermarket lights available for GA's, and some for the GP as well, though not as plentiful.

the gp is easier to mod or the ga?
so when i go to buy a ga or gp i should make sure they have metal gaskets correct?
yea well not just headlights.
for example on the 240sx s14
u can change the entire front of the car to an s15 ( the special silvia model)
it requires different fenders, hood, bumper, and completely different headlights.
i was wondering if something was likewise possible with the ga.
