I just bought my second Montana. The new one is way more equipped than our previous model, and there is something I would like to know. First and foremost, this van didn't come with a book, so I am left to guessing a lot of things. It has a built in DVD player and doesn't have any headphones or anything of the sort. A 40 minute drive with my children watching a movie has me wanting to know if I buy some IR headphones, will they work with it? I don't like the idea of running 6 foot cords to the back of the van so my kids can listen to the movie, and I don't have to. Any help would be appreciated!

Perhaps if you were to go to Pontiac web site they might have a pdf file of your manual if not check ebay. I have a 03 with the factory dvd player and IR head phones,I would guess that you have the same, one way to check is on the rear overhead control console look for a red IR transmitter ,also used for the remote. Look on ebay for headphones they will list your year also for your application.

Keep searching the web for a manual you can down load for free , they are out there that's how I found one for my 03. If you get in a pinch, somewhere on this forum there is a link for an 03 manual (I know I put it there).

Thanks Steelcity! I did find a remote in the van last night. And by looking a the dvd player, it seems as though it could work with them, but I looking for some type of conformation of them being issued for that year. As for the manual, I will continue looking online to see if I can find one for "free bucks". Seeing's how I am new to these forums, I appreciate the help. I must jump on the bandwagon of sorts here shortly and post pics of our new ride.

If by chance mine will work with IR headphones, how would I "sync" them to my dvd player?

Not sure about the "sync" it may just be automatic,I think mine are . I know there is a little switch on the headphones that turn it on and off maybe the "talk" back and forth ?
