thumping noise

has anyone ever experience the feeling of being bumped from behind only to look in your review mirror and no one hit you? occasionally when at a stop and when I take off also a thumping noise in back , ...any ideas why??/

you can check for worn bushing in the control arms or the upper mount on the strut. Did this start after you had a rear brake job?

no nuthing rolling in trunk

could it be the back brake locking up

that is why I asked if you had a rear brake shoe replacement prior to this problem starting.
