New issue i found today.
My low beams come on as soon as i start the car, i thought i had it fixed by pulling the headlight fuse and reinstalling, but now its acting permanent.

I had a cluster issue recently, so not sure if its related.
I cant find the fuse for the DRL lights, anybody know how to disable them on a 96 GA SE?

I'm a little confused by this post. On my 96, the headlights come on as DRL when the hand break is released. Mine is a 96 Grand Am SE, 3.1 with fog lamps if that makes any difference.

You asked for the fuse for the DRL lights which in the 99 manual is number 22 in the engine compartment box. Do you have a 96 owners manual to look at to see if it is the same fuse?

Thanks guys, yes i checked the OM and found two fuses for the DRL.
I pulled both and the marker lights came on and tails but no low beams.

Funny thing, i left for work and my lows where on right at start up.
When i go to lunch and run a few errands in town, the whole time the DRL worked, go figure.

So i leave work, and right off the bat, the lows beams come on instead.

Its hit and miss, I'm thinking a bad relay?
When i was having starting and running issues, i kept hearing a clicking noise up front just next to the drivers headlight, so i took molding and headlights out tonight and found 5 relays behind the front bumper.

Anybody have any ideas which one control what?

Kevlar that's what mine should be doing, but for some reason, my low beams are coming on instead.
And i also have fogs, i have them turned off right now to save bulb life.

Which is a good repair manual for these cars... Chilton or Hanes?

Does the computer control the DRL or have anything to do with the headlights?

Does the chilton have a decent wiring diagram for the headlights?

It does have a wiring diagram for the headlights, it's very small print and hard for these old eyes to see. I have to use a magnifying glass!

Thanks, i bet its an issue within the cluster then.
It will switch from drl to lows while driving.
