Hey guys. New to the forum but not new to Pontiacs. I’ve got a 77TA I just finshed restoring so I was mostly hanging out at Hitmans and TA Country. It’s got the Pontiac 400. I do have another 400 that I will be building with #12 heads. I just recently acquired 1964 Catalina with the 12H 389. Very nice and solid car with 88900 miles. I will post pictures as soon as photobucket is working.

Is that how you add pictures here, using photobucket and just copy the link??

I know this next question is hard to answer without photos but I’m having a difficult placing a value on the Cat and I figured I would ask the experts what its worth. 1964 Sport Catalina. One repaint. Paint is a 20 footer. Chrome is decent, not perfect. Like I said 88900 miles. Engine bay is spotless. Just needs new headliner, front seat cover, and carpet. Not an 8 lug or 2+2 car.

welcome to the forum. For prices I usually look at www.nada.com and www.collectorcarmarket.com

Thanks. Yes I've looked at those sites before but they are not real world values. Heck there's almost 8K difference between those two sites for the same car. A #2 Catalina sedan on collectorcar is $8825 (seems low to me). Yet the same car in “average” condition on NADA is $16485 (seems high to me). I placed the value right around 11-12K. With such a big gap I was curious where other Pontiac guys would value the car at. Again once photobucket gets their act right I'll post some pics.
