Hello all,
I just joined the forum. I own a 2005 Pontiac Montana SV6 2wd. Recently the van has been shifting hard. It likes to jerk at some points where at other points it likes to just shift but you can feel the thud under your feet of the shift. The transmission originally junked out at 98,000 miles so I had it replaced by GM still under warranty with a brand new one. The van now has 190,000 miles on it. I just changed the fluid and filter in the transmission last week. I put some lucas additive in it and it seemed to run fine for the past week. No jerks, no nothing. Now, today I drove all over and I came back home and it was fine. I went to the store and after going to leave from the store it started to do the thuds again. I have checked so much on the front end and am at a loss. The transmission fluid looked dark but not bad. No metal shavings in the pan and the magnets really had nothing on them in the pan. Any ideas? Sorry for such a long post.
