spigot bearing

hi guys on checking my new clutch kit there appears to be a spigot bearing in there as well i take it this goes in the end of the crankshaft as there what looks like a spigot bearing in there but appears to be seized and not turning as it should, my question is it looks pressed in there how do you get it out to fit the new one.

its called a pilot bearing and it's not supposed to turn unless it's a ball bearing type as opposed to soilid bronze. One method to remove it is to pack it full of grease and using an input shaft or tool to force it out by hitting the end of the shaft with a hammer

if its the solid type would i have to remove it then or just leave in place

Use a wooden dowel , a hammer and some grease to remove it. They usually dont wear out..only after a few clutch changes ( solid ones), but if you got a new one, use it.
