Thanks guys but those are a negative , I am looking for factory upolstry ... got a guy here that will make em up but he wants $1200 just for the front bench , I was hoping to buy the covers and do it myself. .

are you saying the upholstery the vendors are selling for the Parisienne is different from the Cat?

Yes sir , from the research I did the Parisienne used Impala/chevy interior and drive trains , Ames told me it was different but couldn't tell me why ... they have no idea if the bench frames are the same.If you look on ebay the Impala and Parisienne seats look the same.I might just my the correct material and go from there.

Two of my long time keepers are bench seat 71 233 series Pontiac's (both factory 455 HO cars). Correctly reupholstering the lightweight bench seats in these two cars is well over a $2000 job per car and few upholsters are up to task. Years ago I sourced nos fabric and vinyl from Doug at SMS In Oregon. SMS has a huge stock, but is also linked with many other trim suppliers across the country, so they can get one the correct trim. The $1200 you were quoted is VERY reasonable for a front bench CORRECTLY reupholstered in nos fabric and vinyl. Not many auto upholstery shops have the skilled help to properly restore such a seat. tproblem is the way the vinyl and fabric is configured, the thin fabric pulls at a different rate than the vinyl and one can get a really bad line on the vinyl cording that forms the leading edge of the seat bottom cushion. That's only one trouble spot... been there.

Thanks for the insight but l still feel $1200 is to much to spend on this vehicle for just a seat.. considering that you can buy a bench upolstry set front and back for just over $500 for other vehicles that is reasonable I think , Of course you have to do the labor yourself but that's no biggie , I will figure something out.
