I have a 2001 Bonneville SSEI and i recently installed an aftermarket radio
the problem is now that something in the radio circuit is drawing about 0.5 Amps and killing my battery so here are the tests i have done and what i have found out

i bench tested the radio works as it should measured 0.012 amps {edit} in the off state
tested the radio in the car turned then engine on and off and opened the door to turn off RAP, after 20 minuets i still have the same reading just over 0.5 amps i pulled out the radio and harness adapter and did the same test and still get just over 0.5 amps

for the test in my car i put my meter in where the fuse goes so i am only measuring the radio circuit

the harness adapter is a GMOS-09

if anyone knows what else runs off of the radio circuit that would be helpful

if the radio is on, engine is off, and you open the door, does the radio turn off? have you tried this test with the original radio?

yes the radio turns off after the the engine is off and the door is opened and as far as the factory radio it is broken that is why i replaced it

with the tests i have done i have ruled out the radio to be the current cause of the drain
