hello everyone ,
new to forum , I have been looking at all the posts but I still can not fix the aztek .
first off bought it not running as a repo , put in new battery - key turns all dash lights come on till you put key in start position then no crank and relays click . I can jump the starter and the motor spins right over ( no spark ) . I replaced the starter relay and transmission neutral switch with same effect .
I can jump the neutral switch (purple and pink wire) and the engine will turn over by key .
I also bought a used BCM and installed it with no luck .
NO security lights , car only came with one key not sure if its original key so I did the 10- 10-10 reset , still no luck . My next step is the ignition switch however I do not know if that may be my problem nor do I know if I need to have a new key made . where is the pass key information stored ,can I replace the ignition switch and just reset the key using the 10-10-10 method .
I am unsure if I should put any more money in it till I get it running , its not a bad looking car , I am sure the previous owner couldn't figure it out also and just quit paying on it . no matter what I do the key will turn the dash lights on but engine will not turn over when turned to start position however Will turn over with key when the neutral switch is jumped and all these parts are new except for the ignition switch . any help would be appreciated thanks in advance for any help .
