'02 Grand Am Rise and fall in RPM revs when idling; stalling out.

Hey guys, my Pontiac grand am has begun to have issues in starting and rising and falling in revs when its idling. At times when the RPMs bottom out, and sometimes when you put it in gear, particularly reverse, itll stall completely. I have a vid I made over a week ago showing exactly what it does while idling, and I believe it could be the coil packs, but I'm not sure. I just got a new set, but they dont have the numbers 1-6 for the cylinders but I wasn't sure if that was necessary to install them or if I can just put them in, in any order without numbers. Hopefully the video helps. If anyone has any advice on this, I greatly appreciate the help.
 
Do you have a check engine light on?
Did you reconnect the plugs wires in the same sequence when you replaced them?
Did you test the old coil packs?
 
I checked the plug wires, and even went so far as to replace them, along with installing a new camshaft sensor, knock sensor, and O2 sensor. I'm thinking it may be a vacuum hose leak. I took a video of exactly what the car's doing, but unfortunately, I'm not able to upload it, as the file is apparently too large. It doesn't want to stall anymore, but it still shifts really hard in reverse and especially drive. The rev needle still rises and falls as well. I have a brand new pack of coils, but I'll see about testing the old ones first. Has anyone ever had this sort of issue with a vacuum leak?

Why haven't you had the code scanned rather than guessing?
Autozone and others do free scans.
 
So a quick update on the Grand Am. I had a mechanic shop run two diagnostics on the car, and they both brought up codes for the purge valve and the master air flow sensor. I replaced both sensors, and fixed a vacuum leak going from the air intake to the valve cover. The idle is steady and even now, but the engine check light is still on, and the transmission was still shifting hard. I also changed the trannie fluid and filter, but it still shifts hard when going into reverse or drive, and when driving. At this point, I haven't had a change to have it diagnosed again, but I've been told it could be the pressure control solenoid. When I changed the fluid out, I didnt see any metal shavings in the pan. Not sure what else to do at the moment.

Coil packs can go however you want.
They are numbered for ease of use.
The vacuum leak could've been the culprit the whole time.
Did they relearn the parts ?
Check for another vacuum leak.
The smallest crack can cause the biggest problems.
