I have changed one in a 03 Montana,there are no real short cuts in taking out the heater core.there are a lot of screws and bolts.you pretty much have to take everything apart.depending what your skill level is it should take up to 4-5 hours.
well thats not good, did you try contacting the manufacturer of Steel Seal if they have had reports of this occuring? you are definitely not low on coolant?
Well it turns out to be the damper/blend door not letting airflow through the duct work, it was limiting the flow,with the help of this post below I was able to disconnect the linkage and move the damper/door lever all the way up and this little trick doubled(or more) the amount of air flow. so now I have better heat due to the flow. I thought I had good heat but didn't have the flow. So for now I'm satisfied as long as the head gasket repair holds.
