Gents,
Just finished installing a rebuilt Advance auto motor. I don't think I'm getting any spark. I've checked all the fuses and went over and check the connectors.

This large one off the main harness with purple insert near the transmission / MaF sensor area has me stumped. I thought that maybe it is for Azteks with 4 wheel drive and was not used on a 2wheel set up.
There is a similar one right next to this connector that has a mate. Just not this one.

Any tips on the connector / no spark?

so you are saying the motor you got from Advanced Auto is not exactly the same as what you had in the car? did you check with Advance Auto for an engine wiring diagram? You tested for spark at the plugs and did not have any?

If you take a good look at the connector, it appears to have never been connected.

If your certain you do not have spark, have you checked for anything else you may be missing to make this engine run?

Do you have a injector pulse signal?
Do you have fuel pressure?
Do you have compression?

If the only thing your missing is spark, you will need to double check the wiring.
you will be looking for pinched harnesses, broken parts wiring that has been tugged on too much with separated pins in connectors.

If you have checked and rechecked and still have found nothing you will need to connect a scan tool with live data, and inspect all the data to find out what is not working properly.
