Ok im at a loss as to what is going on with my car, in october the heater went out and now it over heats. it has a new waterpump, radiator has been flushed as well as the thermostat. i believe the heater core is fine as well and there is no oil in the coolant and the fans have been replaced, the relays are fine as well as the heads. if your driving and it starts to overheat if you slow down then floor it it usually cools back down to bout 200 for a little bit then back up. theres no leaks anywhere and it has been to 3 different shops and nobody has a clue as to what is wrong with it. i cant remember if it was bleed or not. but idk what else to do....

Let's see if we can help you out. Let's start from the beginning. You mentioned many of these things have been checked. Have you checked them?

For example: new radiator fan/relays, does the fan come on. It should be bled at some point too, this is very important!

Also, radiators can go bad and/or have a grocery bag on the front of them (I found 3 whatburger styrofoam cups on a friend's car no kidding)

So first:

1) make sure it is bled properly
2) make sure that all of the components do in fact work (radiator fan come on, heater get hot inside the car)
3)You can pressure check the system but if you're not loosing a noticeable about of coolant you should be ok.

Also, you mentioned the radiator was flushed, but why not the whole system?

I actually bled it today after work and it quit overheating and the heater works. Now there is another problem it was idling for about 30 minutes and no problems I turned it off and listened to music running off the battery well I went to start it and it wouldn't turn over. Tried again and it would turn on only if I have it gas. I went to out it in reverse and it cut off tried again cut off. Tried one more time and the exhaust was sputtering car was shaking and some smoke started coming out of the engine. I turned it off immediately. There's no fluids on the ground everything is full and all liquids in there normal spots none mixed anywhere. Idk what it is now.

What color was the smoke and did it have a sweet smell?

It was a light color couldn't really tell because it was dark. I thought it was a burnt rubber smell but my friend said it smelt like the smell a clutch makes when it goes out, but it's automatic.

Look in the oil filler cap for a brownish creamy substance. Pull the plugs and check for water/antifreeze in the cylinders.

Well figured it out. The idle air control valve broke. Replaced it and it started right up drove it around town turned it on and off A lot and it's still working it's been sitting for about 2 hours and hopefully it'll start when I gotta go into work

Not sure how that would cause a car to overheat?

No it was overheating to begin with I bled the cooling system. Then after it quit overheating the air control valve broke.
