04 Grand Am Starter failed to engage...

Wifey took her Grand Am to fuel up. When she tried to start it again all of the electrical came on but starter wouldnt even engage. Checked battery, fine, fuses, fine, wiring fine. Tried to jump start, still failed to engage. Towed vehicle home. Tried again, nothing...

Went to work on it this morning, started right up!!!

Vehicle had been driven 3 hours in 100+ Las Vegas heat.

Would really like to avoid this occurrance again.

try looking for a poor electrical connection, either loose or corroded. Check the battery connections, check the ground from the battery, check the connections at the starter.
