04 sunfire transmission

Hey everyone. Have a question. Girlfriend bought a sunfire recently its stick. She wants it changed to automatic. Can anyone please help fill me in on what is all needed and possibly the process of it and maybe even cost? Mechanic friend is doing work i just want to know all the details before we divr into it.

Tell her to sell the car and buy a car with an automatic. Everything these days is computer controlled you cannt just change the transmission and it's not worth the expense of attempting it.
