My friend has been helping me by doing services and exchanging parts on my poor ig owed Sunfire. The other day he asked if I'd like my ac purged because he had recently purchased the tool with the gauges and multi colored hoses,⁹ and had extra refridgerant/oil. I had mentioned to him that my ac was the best component on my car, except when sitting idle at lights or drive thru. He proceeded anyways, and now of course ac no longer works. But while working on it, he was at a tight spot and I believe he knocked sensors or conne tor of something loose. When leaving, I got a quarter mile⁰ up the road when I realized the car wouldn't shift out of 1st gear, now learning of "limp mode." I've been driving it like this for a week now. So I haven't troubleshooter it yet and now when went to start it it will not turn over. Just cranks and cranks. I've needed a new breather orifice at least 3 years now (equivalent to pcv valve in most cars, technically referred to as the fix orifice. When I popped hood, most of my engine and sensors are COVERED IN BLACK OIL! I just changed trannyfluid as well as coolant but stillnot shifting. My friend thinks I need 2 solenoids but it was running really great, no codes at all. Until he did l acr. Ordn't do it i should day. Could it be a relay or fuse? And now,due to engine not breathing properly and getting overfill 2 weeks ago on oil, everything is covered in it, including my sensors and wires. Would any of you have a clue what it could be, and what I can do for it? After he worked on my ac, and the car went into limp mode, I turned around and went straight back to his house. And he could not even tell me anything, except now? Yeah, the car is throwing 7 trouble codes, including solenoids replacement, speed sensors 1 and 2, throttle opinion sensors, as well as MAF semsor. Attached are a few pics of the dirty state of my connections. And also my MAPconnector was unpligged and oily. I plugged it back in afyer cleaning but still...nothing
PLEASE, does anybody know how I can get out of this parking lot? Any advice would be awesome and I'll do whatever necessary to get it Goin. Thanks Guys (and Gals)

Oh one more thing. The hard plastic hose coming from head and going into air filter box...IS FULL OF OUL! I took it off and had to drain all the oil out of it. What could that be? I know it's not good for damn sure.

Did you check how much oil is in the engine by looking at the dipstick?
What are the actual codes?
You may need to be towed to a shop on your friends dime.

First new rule, don't let your friend touch your car ever again and don't listen to a word he says about needing anything, he has zero clue what he is doing and is only going to make things worse and cost you more money.

Check oil, drain excess oil if over filled.

Remove and clean all PCV and air intake systems including the throttle body.

Remove a spark plug and inspect, if it's covered in oil from sucking too much in through the intake/PCV system clean them all off and reinstall.

Go through ALL your power distribution systems and look for blown fuses. I find the quickest way isn't pulling them and looking, instead I place the key to "run" and check both sides of the fuse with a DVM. If you have battery voltage on one side of the fuse but not the other then the fuse is blown.

If the car drove fine before the maintenance and there were no codes then he caused all the problems. I doubt you need any parts, especially solenoids in the transmission. Did he maintenance the transmission? If he over filled the engine oil it's most likely he messed up the service on the transmission also which needs to be corrected.

@melsg5 has the best advice so far. If you don't know anyone else that is proficient with modern OBD-II diagnostics then the best move forward would be to have the car towed to professional repair facility and your friend should cover the entire cost of what needs to be done since he accepted the responsibility of meddling with the car.

Big boy rules, you break you buy. Tell him to be a man and own up to his mistakes and get the car fixed on his dime. To me it sounded like he didn't have your best interest in mind, instead he was eager to play with his new tools. If it ain't broke don't fix it. You should never purge an AC system with just hoses. The hoses and gauges are meant to diagnose the system by viewing the pressures. The only way to purge and refill an AC system is with a very expensive machine. It will evacuate the refrigerant, hold the system under vacuum so there are no impurities or air in system. If the system holds sufficient vacuum vs time then it can be refilled with the proper amount of refrigerant. After that has been done then you can test the system with the hoses/gauges while feeling temperature through the vents. If it worked fine for you the absolute most he should have done was add a little refrigerant until the gauge was in the green. That's it. For him to purge it meant he most likely damaged the compressor. Hopefully it shut down into low pressure mode and saved itself from too much damage. I don't recommend this but it's the only way to get your system working without a proper AC machine. You need to hook a FULL and pressurized can of refrigerant to the low pressure side. Start the car and turn the AC on, most likely the compressor will not run due to low pressure. Then opening the can of refrigerant there may be enough pressure in the can to allow the compressor to run and fill the system. I don't recommend this because there is most likely air in the system and it won't run efficiently but at least it will work so you can defog the windshield.

Sounds like your oil feed line is broken also if that hose is filled with oil 9/10 your gasket is broken and now youve got coolant and oil mixed in the lines as well. Best bet is to drain all intake and coolant lines then fix the gasket.
