06 Torrent AWD

When I have my 06 Torrent AWD up on 4 jackstands, should all 4 wheels be spinning when in drive ? Thanks ahead of time

read page 4-10 of the owners manual, unless your front wheels start slipping the rear will not engage

The reason I'm asking is, I started getting a rattle/grinding noise when accelerating under load, coming from under the front passenger side of car. I put it up on all four and ALL the wheels ARE spinning except for my front passenger ??

with the engine off, in neutral, can you turn the front passenger wheel by hand ?

It will turn by hand with some effort (isn't froze up completely). I did notice when I hit the gas with all four wheels on stands, it tries to turn. Also, the rattle/grinding seems to be coming from the CV axle (inner). Any way it could be a bad CV axle ?

is the boot torn?
was the noise more evident when you were going through a slow turn either right or left?

Well, I replaced the CV Axle because it was easy to do and STILL have the noise, no better, no worse !!
