15 year old in need of help

need help with my 1989 trans am im 15 years old and have no idea what is wrong with it other than it wont even try to start even tho theres a battery with power and just insstalled a new carburator. just want it to turn on i know i didnt give enough info. but just give me some suggestions please

when you say it wont start on do you mean it wont crank or it does crank but will not fire?
did it start before you changed the carburetor?
did you test the battery with a voltmeter?
