If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Hey everyone, back in September I bought a 1953 Chieftain with what I believed was a Pontiac 455 engine in it. The engine turned out to be an Olds 455 but currently i'm focused on getting the body, suspension, and brake system up to speed. I was wondering if anyone knew what 1953 Pontiacs shared with their Chevy and Oldsmobile counterparts of that year. I'd like to put in a mustang ii front suspension designed for a 53 chevy but i'm not certain it'll fit. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

i would be really surprised if GM cars from that time period shared too many parts and I know of no index that would show that. I recommend you try a site like www.oldrides.com where people have more experience with cars of that vintage

Yeah, I'm not too surprised. I'm just looking to cut down on any unnecessary fabrication. Thanks for the help!
