• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... I have removed the cooler lines from my hydromatic transmission last year to take out and clean the transmission and have the engine rebuilt. Now it is time to assemble it back together. However, I did not mark which line connected to the side of the transmission. There are two ports, one on top and bottom about a inch or so apart. I have a long cooler line which goes to the drivers side radiator and a short on which connects to the passanger side radiator. Could someone give me a hint as to which goes where.

I have not been able to find a diagram of the lines connected to the case. Guess you dont have the 64 shop manual? Either way, it may not be correct, but does it matter which way the fluid flows through the radiator?

No, I just have the engine manual. I'll put a picture on here tomorrow.

From a purely functional view point it makes no difference which line connects to the top or bottom hole in the transmission as long asthe fitting matches the thread. If you want it factory accurate try contacting the www.poci.org and they may be able to assist.
