If you have been looking for a Project GTO here is a link to one I found on Craigslist.

If I had the cash and good back I would be knocking on his door.

I am posting this to help anyone on here that has had a life long dream of getting one of these or needs parts to finish their GTO project.

https://miami.craigslist.org/pbc/cto/5326441835.html it is located in Palm Beach County Florida where I live

to the administrator if this post is not allowed I am sorry just delete it. I wasn't sure if this type of helpful posting is allowed.

But I couldn't let this one go unnoticed.

No problem, thing is with a 65 the GTO didnt have a separate indicator in the VIN, it was just an option, so you would need some sort of proof that the car left the factory as a GTO

I wouldn't care if it was a real GTO or not it is the body styling that makes it one if my favorite cars. Someone who needs or wants a real GTO would have to be knowledgeable enough like you to know what they are getting.

this one is priced low enough it doesn't matter what it is for someone like me.

I think with a project like this for a car enthusiast, having a true GTO would only matter if your building it to sell it.

of course this is just my opinion

this may help anyone interested in knowing more about the 1965 GTO, I imagine with enough detective work if enough of the key parts are in place or if the engine is a numbers matching this may just be a great find.
