1966 lemans build sheet

I ordered the sheets from pontiac historical society and need some help

They show my car 1966 lemans 2h as 78k built

then going over to the engine page they show 2026 built

what does that mean only 2026 cars were built with this engine?
and does that make this car rare?

Without seeing the documument and knowing what engine you are talking about it is hard to answer. Did you consider contacting PHS and asking them or providing more information here?

i know what engine is in there its the 326 HO with 2 speed auto 2026 made and it is highlighted but also so is the 2H 78k made

The 78K number ties in with a 2 Door Hardtop model starting VIN 237176 and if it is the original 326 HO it is a rare engine and the 2K build number would make sense.

thats what i thought
it has yp engine code

so out of those 78k built only 2026 had yp engine code
is it really desirable though?
wanted to put LS engine in it

Again, if it's the original engine and you value a somewhat historically significant car, I think you might want to sell it for a car you can modify rather than make changes to this one. That engine adds 15% to the value of a LeMans.

thanx dude thats what i was looking for
it needs restored completly no holes though
so might keep it and just rebuild the engine
