Hello dear forum,
I just completed the front disc brake conversion on my 1966 Pontiac Lemans. Before the brake conversion, the car's stance was such that the front of the car was sitting too high, so to lower the front a little, front disc brakes with 2" lowering spindles were used. Additionally the mechanic also suggested using 1" lowering coil springs.
After the job was completed, the lowering of the front of the car was over done! Aesthetically, it looks kind of ok but the tires are now rubbing against the front fender in a very bad way, almost all the time especially when turning. We overdid the lowering of the front!
Here are the pictures:

I am looking for advice - both cosmetically and functional-wise.
Questions:
- How does the car body stance look to you from the pictures?
- Is it Ok or does it sit too low on the front?
- If the front looks ok to you, is it the back of the car which should be lowered?
- How do I fix the rubbing of the tires against the front fender? Should the front fender be trimmed? If yes (should be trimmed) does anyone here know how to do it? What is a reasonable price for doing this?
- Should I replace the 1" lowering springs with the original front coil springs?
Thank you very much!
