1967 LeMans trans pan gasket info.

My '67 LeMans has a 326 engine and a two speed automatic "Tempestorque 300" transmission. I'm going to change the filter and pan gasket and wonder if I need to pull the trans crossmember to remove the trans pan. The pan has a "ear" that protects the vacuum modulator and it looks like a tight fit at the crossmember. Thanks in advance for any information.

You might take a close look at the engine mounts and transmission mounts if they are collapsed this will reduce the clearance needed to perform the work you are doing.
