1968 Pontiac catalina

I don’t know how to diagnose the issue I’m having and need help. I know I blew my engine , I just don’t know how. Something definitely came through the oil pan. There’s a hole in the oil pan now NEED HELP

You have to drop the pan and determine what broke.

Its 99% chance it was a connecting rod unfortunately and means a full engine rebuild if all the major parts are undamaged, block, crank, & Heads.

Good luck, I hope I am wrong. But a picture of the oil pan damage would help

Probably a rod bolt broke and the cap came down and pierced the pan if I had to guess.
